Community

Kilvington is a wonderful community of staff, students and their families as well as as past students.

Kilvington Grammar is more than just a school, it's a close-knit community where everyone is familiar, from the tiniest three-year-old in the Early Learning Centre to the soon-to-be graduates in Year 12. Thanks to its intentionally small size, Kilvington fosters genuine relationships across year levels, creating a warm, supportive environment. Students, staff and families are not just faces in the crowd; they’re known, valued and encouraged every step of the way.

This sense of belonging is what sets Kilvington apart. It’s a place where kindness is second nature, where achievements are celebrated together, and where a helping hand is never far away. The strength of this community shines through in everything from buddy programs and House events to parent involvement and alumni connections.

Whether you're new to the school or have been part of it for years, Kilvington welcomes you.

The best thing about coming to Kilvington for me is feeling part of its supportive and friendly community. Kilvington staff and students make me feel truly cared for and included, and I think that’s one of the most important aspects of school life.

Kilvington’s vibrant community is strengthened by our dedicated Parents and Friends Association (PFA) and our valued alumni. The PFA brings families together through events like welcome picnics, morning teas and sausage sizzles, while also supporting the school through initiatives like the Food Cares program, the Secondhand Uniform Shop and our biennial School Fair. Their Class Social Representatives help build connections across year levels, making everyone feel part of the Kilvington community.

Our alumni also play an important role in school life, with strong ties maintained through regular events, updates and meaningful opportunities to support and inspire current students.
